Home Within The Mural |-| Soohyun & Eli
Letting Eli snuggle back down against him, Soohyun returned to running his fingers through the soft blond locks against his chin, smiling softly at how relaxed and out of style they were. After he’d helped the Ravenclaw get clean after arriving at his house, Soohyun had simply gathered him close, dried him off, dressed him and tucked him away in his arms without another word. And now, the dyed strands were slightly wavy from sleep and lack of styling and it made Soohyun heart clench at how beautiful his Eagle looked in his relaxed state, something which until that moment, he didn’t realise how much he’d missed. He really wished he was still able to see Eli’s eyes, the blond was incredibly expressive, with deep pools that changed colour slightly almost as if dependent on his mood, and until that morning Eli’s eyes had been terrifyingly blank.
Closing his own eyes, Soohyun continued to hold Eli against his chest, listening to the soft sounds of the blond’s breathing, slightly snuffly in his still half-asleep state, and the slight rustle of clothing as he moved, fingers running across Soohyun’s sleeve, the Gryffindor’s fingers twitching slightly as Eli caught the skin of his wrist slightly as he did, the Ravenclaw’s skin such a stark contrast in temperature and texture against his own. So caught up in the feel of his Eagle breathing in time with him, Soohyun barely registered the quietly spoken words, quickly blinking his eyes open as he finally realised the blond had spoken, and, had he imagined him making a joke?
"mm..Yes we are love." Soohyun murmured, closing his eyes once again as he managed to work out what had been whispered against his chest, hands spanning fingers protectively as far as possible around his Eagle. "My home, my room, my bed. Just us. My sister down in her wing, the house elves probably bouncing round the house, singing to themselves like they always do." He added, smiling despite himself. He normally spent the holidays alone, or with his sister, trying to coax her out of her rooms to enjoy the ridiculously vast gardens they had, simply to put them to use. But now he had his Eli, and he had so many plans for them this summer, he was going to make sure his blond eagle didn’t have enough time to feel bad about his parents, only had happy memories and thoughts.
Eli kept his ear pressed to Soohyun’s chest, the steady and solid rhythm of his boyfriend’s heart an aide in keeping his grip on reality. With each word, a gentle vibration ran through the elder’s body, crossing over into Eli’s limbs where they remained tucked closely to the Gryffindor. He couldn’t believe it, rather he could, but it was quite hard to imagine. Soohyun’s home, a large sprawling manor they had talked about for quite lengthy amounts of time. But as he quietly looked at the luxurious blankets they were nestled amongst, it slowly began to sink into his subconscious that this was indeed his boyfriend’s bedroom. Not that he didn’t believe Soohyun of course, he was just a bit frazzled and didn’t fully trust his own perception.
"Soo," he murmured, lifting his head slightly and feeling as if everything seemed a bit heavier than usual. "I’m on top of you," he stated. Really he hadn’t even noticed until his attention had come down to the rise and fall of the surface on which he was lying and the arms stretched protectively across his upper and lower back. But the more his mind worked through the haziness of the night, the more acutely aware of his surroundings he was becoming. "Heavy?" he questioned softly, still not up to par with his normal speech just yet. But at the moment, he hoped he was understood because he certainly didn’t want to be putting his lion in a situation of discomfort on his behalf.
Slugulus Eructo » Sungmin & Eli
Sungmin wasn’t sure whether Eli’s sympathetic noises were making him feel better or worse as he hated being seen as so ‘vulnerable’ in front of others, but such thoughts were soon washed away as the fifth slug left his system. He looked back up at Eli with an reluctantly pitiful expression, clutching his bucket tightly in his hands. Sungmin knew all to well that the curse was incurable and nodded slowly in response, for it was all he could do. Being so preoccupied by the thoughts of the next slug, Sungmin hadn’t even noticed Eli disappear for a few moments until he came back with a cup of water. “Thank you..” Sungmin murmured in a sickly tone, but as he was about to gingerly take the water from his grasp the sickly feeling overcame him once again causing him to bury his head back into the bucket. It had only been sixth minutes, but six minutes of heaving up slugs felt like a lifetime for Sungmin. ‘I’d happily take a beating any day over this..’ He groaned to himself, hoping the curse would weaken soon for the sake of his own sanity.
Eli watched Sungmin, his own stomach uneasy at the sight of the slug dropping into the bucket. Pulling out his wand he murmured a charm to at least make the bucket “bottomless” and absorb the slippery creatures. At least that way, Sungmin was not staring at what he’d just coughed up for the rest of the next few minutes. After he did that, he put the water down within reach and moved to be behind the other Ravenclaw. With one hand, he hesitantly reached out to pat the other male’s back gently to attempt and relieve some of the tension in his roommates body. “I know it’s difficult, but try to relax. It’s will be over soon, you’re over halfway through the curse.” He bit his lip, wondering if he was talking too much. “I’m s-studying to become a healer,” he said quickly by means of explanation.
Too Much Thinking || Eli & Tia
Tia could tell from the boy’s face that he wasn’t feeling up to par and she nodded her head in understanding. “Do you….need help to get to your room i don’t want leave you here if you can’t.” Tia looked around to see if anyone was around who might be able to help him in case he felt uncomfortable in having her help him anymore but she really didn’t find anyone. Tia sighed as she stood up and accio-ed a bottle of water and some aspirin handing it to Eli. ”Here these might help for your migraine and you need water so that your body can rehydrate.” Tia covered her mouth as she yawned feeling a bit tired herself.
Tia sat back down on the couch and closed her eyes for a couple of minutes before opening them again afraid that Eli might have left but he was still right beside her lost in his own thinking. She didn’t want to leave him but she was so sleepy and feared that she might get into trouble if she stayed overnight. ”Eli..” Tia trailed off her eyes opening and closing. She shook her head to fight off sleep. “I think i’m going to go to bed now.” She yawned standing up and stretching her body. “Today’s been a long day but i won’t go if you really need me to…i wouldn’t want to do that to a friend.”
Eli gratefully took the water and aspirin from Tia and swallowed it. As the thought, he noticed her seeming more and more sleepy. When she told him she was running off to bed, he nodded in agreement. “It’s late,” he acknowledged with a small smile. “I’ll be fine, but thank you for watching over me. It really does… mean a lot.” He was pleased to be considered a friend by someone. He put out his hand to shake hers before showing her to the door. “Sleep well,” he wished as he let her out before climbing the stairs and flopping on to his bed. He’d barely let his head hit the pillow before he was out cold.
Eli awoke, painfully aware of the consequences of his little mistake. His head was throbbing, the waves of aching spreading across his temples. Groaning, he buried his head in the pillow with a sigh. He didn’t think he was going to be able to go back to sleep so he decided he should probably at least try to eat something. An empty stomach and dehydrated body was going to do nothing except make his hangover worse. Stumbling off the bed, he realized that he was still in his uniform from the night before but he really didn’t care at the moment. Putting on shoes and smoothing his hair, he shuffled out of his room, down the stairs, out the tower, and towards the Great Hall.

How are you Tia-ssi?
Too Much Thinking || Eli & Tia
“Oh Eli..” Tia spoke softly as she started to rummage through her bag looking for her pack of tissues that she carried around. Finally spotting it in the corner of her purse she began to pull out a piece and wipe his tears, cupping his face and mentally cursing herself for saying something as stupid as that . “I really shouldn’t have said anything and kept my mouth shut. I am so sorry.” Tia wrapped her arms around him giving him a hug and she patted his back listening to his sobs. “I know that doesn’t offer much but it’s the best i can give.” She spoke into his ear.
Tia broke away from the hug that she had given Eli and wiped his face again giving him a soft smile. “I know nothing i say can compare to the loss you felt and are still feeling nor do i understand it to be quite honest. Most things i only know from what i read in books but…if you want i’ll be your friend. I may not be the most funniest or outgoing person, but i’ll be here when you need me. ” Tia held his hands in hers giving them a tight squeeze. “I know life isn’t fair and we are often given challenges and burdens we can’t understand but…i’ll be there with you through all them Elison. I promise and I always keep my promises.” Tia gave Eli another hug and promised herself that she wouldn’t be like all the people in his life; she wouldn’t leave, not if she could help it.
To be honest, Eli was rather embarrassed as Tia began wiping his face with a tissue and apologizing. He knew that she hadn’t meant to bring up such a topic but it was kind of nice to have someone to talk to. Normally he kept all of these sorts of feelings tucked away inside but the few drinks he’d downed in Hogsmeade made them slip out in the form of tears. Quieting and sitting still, he swallowed hard and shook his head. “I’m f-fine,” he insisted. “Just too much to drink,” he explained rather sheepishly.
Face red and hot with the alcohol and the shame of crying in front of a stranger, Eli let out a sigh and groan, covering his face. As nice and numb as the firewhisky had made him feel at first, he was no longer feeling the same. He was starting to get tired and he could feel a pounding in his temples beginning to grow. “Thank you Tia,” he whispered, not wanting her to feel as if he didn’t want to be friends with her. The idea sounded nice enough but he was finding it hard to think straight. “I’m sorry, I just don’t feel that well.”
Too Much Thinking || Eli & Tia
“Did someone leave you?” Tia asked as she helped him pull off his jacket before neatly folding it on the other side of him. “I’m sorry that’s wrong of me to ask.” Tia bit her lips as she sat back against the couch tired but her mind still wired. “But they come back, you know?” Tia turned her head to look at Eli. “My friend Luhan and i grew up together but I had to move away because of my father’s new job. I thought i would never see him again until i got here; and it’s like we’ve picked up where we started. Life is funny like that. I like to think that the people are divided into two categories: seasonal and lifetime and sometimes we make the mistake of mixing up the two. Maybe the person who left was supposed to teach you something that you needed to learn and once you learned it they had no purpose for being here.” Tia nodded and closed her eyes for a minute.
Tia opened her eyes laughing at Eli’s observation of her. “Both of my parents were in Ravenclaw so i’ve grown to appreciate a love of books and art in general. I think they’ve conditioned me a little too well since i tend to be awkward with people and especially those of the opposite sex. I’m amazed i can have a decent conversation with you without making a total fool out of myself. Well other then fact that i fell on top of you but hopefully you won’t remember that.” Tia chuckled. “Not everyone who comes in your life is destined to leave i believe that with that with all my heart. I hope that one day you’ll believe that as well.”
Eli grew quiet when Tia asked if someone had left him. As much as he agreed with part of her statement, he couldn’t help but wish her story applied to his sister, Minhwan, Yejun, and everyone else he wanted to keep in his life. “They don’t always come back,” he muttered, shaking his head but regretting it as the room spun. “Sometimes they just go… and there’s no control over it. They just leave.” He hiccuped slightly, playing with the edge of his sweater.
"Minhwan was forced to leave," he said rather bitterly, "And Yejun got hurt because other’s were so mean." Earlier, it had hurt to think about his long lost friends but now it just made him angry that they were no longer at Hogwarts. There was, however, one sore spot in his heart that still hurt more than anything. "And worst of all my sister," he murmured, a hand coming up to wipe his cheek stubbornly. He didn’t know why he was crying all of a sudden but it was probably because of the alcohol and the way he’d been missing her lately. "It wasn’t fair. It isn’t fair,” he choked out as he continued to tear up.
Slugulus Eructo » Sungmin & Eli
As his roommate kindly guided him to his seat, Sungmin clutched onto the bucket, vomiting up a third slug before he was able to sit back down. “Urggggh..Thank you.” He groaned, his face turning paler with each slug that passed his lips. Three down seven to go.. Sungmin thought to himself over and over again in the hopes it would make the ordeal seem less dragging. It had all happened so fast, one minute he was walking down the corridor minding his own business, the next a burst of green light was hurtling towards him at lighting speed. Sungmin silently cursed his own misfortune as he lifted his head from the bucket, wiping his mouth before bracing himself for another round of slugs. “Kill me..” He moaned half joking, half serious as his cheeks suddenly puffed out, another slug well on it’s way.
Eli clucked in tongue in some sort of sympathetic noise. Sungmin looked absolutely miserable and he wracked his brain for some sort of way to at least lessen the other’s suffering. “I’d offer you a potion but it won’t do any good,” he murmured. “Unfortunately this curse is incurable. You just have to wait it out.” He stood, crossing the room and grabbing a cup from his desk. Using his wand, he cleaned it out and then tapped the top to fill it with water. “Here,” he offered, sitting beside the other Ravenclaw and holding out the glass. “But drink just a little slowly unless you really want it to be over quickly, and not in a good way.” Noticing the way Sungmin tightened his grip on the bucket and his cheeks grew chubby, Eli put the glass down for a moment and patted the other male’s back to try and make this round of heaving a little easier.
Too Much Thinking || Eli & Tia
“Elison,” Tia spoke the name softly as they continued to walk together. “It’s a very nice name and fits you well.” Tia sighed inwardly in relief as they approach the castle very much anxious to walk Elison to his common room and be free of his weight, because compared her stature to his it was almost comical in sense. As they got closer to the castle not a word was spoken between them and Tia much enjoyed the silence lost in her thoughts as she followed Elison’s lead once they were inside. ” I would ask what’s wrong but it’s none of my business and i could try to make a joke or spark some interest in talking, but i’m not really good at these kinds of things. I’m just awkward with people in general and spend most of my time with my head in my books and pen in my hand. Truthfully the only friend i have here is Luhan, kind of sad isn’t it?”
Tia walked with Elison and made her way with him to the ravenclaw common room, helping him sit on the nearest seating before sitting beside him, well that was her intention but she found herself falling on top of him her legs weak from helping him get here. It was an embarrassing situation and she forced herself to get off him despite how lazy her body felt. ”Well it’s official i need to work out more.” She smiled hoping her joke would defuse the awkwardness she felt and felt much better when she saw him smile slightly. Tia gave one back in return and lean comfortably against the chair.
Eli felt himself being lowered onto the couch, his eyes focusing on the blue and bronze around him. He hadn’t remembered giving Tia the password to get into the common room, but his mind was working extremely slowly at the minute and he was already forgetting why he was in such a state. “It’s not ssad,” he managed to spit out, stretching out his legs and trying to push himself more upright. “It’s what happens,” he mused unhappily. “It takes so long to work up the nerve to talk to someone and…” he trailed off, one hand waving drunkenly, “gone.”
"I’m a Ravenclaw," he concluded for some strange reason. Blinking to try and think about why he had come out with that statement, he looked back at Tia. "You sound like a Ravenclaw too. Not a Sslytherin," he slurred with a small laugh. "Books… Ravenclaw’s like books. Or we’re supposed to at least." Awkwardly shrugging, he hauled himself to a seated position and tried to pull of his jacket. The attempts were unsuccessful for the most part as a wave of dizziness swept over him and he slumped forward with a slight exclamation of surprise.
Too Much Thinking || Eli & Tia
Tia watched as the boy staggered as he walked and decided that he was in no condition to get back to where he was going by himself, quickly gathering her things she stuffed them in her bag and walked up to him linking their arms together so he would have some kind of support. He looked so sad as if he had not a friend in the world in which she could see how that would cause one to drink their sadness away. Tia pursed her lips as the two left the Three Broomsticks, her mind trying to think of an appropriate response to this situation. She wasn’t well versed in the ways of communicating with the opposite sex. The only guy friend she had up here was Luhan; and to be honest he was a special case.
“I’m Tia by the way.” She spoke softly figuring it was a good way as start as any. ”So what’s your name?” She asked before stopping abruptly as she held close to him; keeping him upright and balanced as they walked to the castle. ”If you don’t mind me asking what were you trying to do?” Tia inwardly groan as shifted the weight of her feet as she pulled the tipsy boy back vertically; he seemed to take a liking to sloping and causing her to tilt along with him. Now if only she could do a charm on him to make him lighter as Sungmin had done with her bag when they were on the Hogwarts express this might be a bit or a whole lot easier.
Eli really should have known that just telling the stranger that he was alright wasn’t going to make it alright. By the time he’d gone out the door, he realized that he was more under the influence of the alcohol than he had thought. Despite his cheeks being flushed, he still felt numb when it wasn’t even really that cold outside. He found himself leaning heavily to one side when all of a sudden she was there again, pushing him upright as best she could. It was almost comical they way the pair struggled down the path and if he had been in a better mood he might have laughed.
"Ellison," he mumbled out loud after she introduced herself. "Seventh year, Ravenclaw." He paused momentarily, contemplating how funny the words sounded when they were spoken so slowly. Furrowing his brow, he looked over at her again. "Or Kyoungjae," he informed her although he hardly ever went by his Korean name. "But only one person ever calls me that," he added, stomach turning at the reminder of Soohyun. "Just Ellison," he concluded before he decided he should probably just stop talking until he could hold a decent conversation.
Slugulus Eructo » Sungmin & Eli
Looking up upon recognising the familiar voice of his roommate, Sungmin quickly covered his mouth to avoid causing another scene. He nodded gently signalling that he was, despite how it might seem, ok; though it was clear that was an understatement. “I’m soー” Sungmin began to say, before a familiar gagging feeling swiftly washed over him. Wanting to avoid further embarrassing himself by throwing up on his roommate a second time, Sungmin roughly pushed him aside, running into the room in search of a bucket or bin, anything he could find before another large slug escaped his mouth. Pulling a sickly expression Sungmin slumped against the edge of his bed, grasping a bucket in his hands as hew threw up the second slug. ”Urgggh.” His head remained in the bucket as he groaned, silently cursing his own bad luck in the process.
By now it’s was obviously apparent that his roommate was not alright. The poor Ravenclaw couldn’t even finish a full sentence before he’d dashed off to spit up another slug. Quickly drawing his wand to clean the slug off of his shoe, he crossed the room and put his bag down. As Sungmin groaned uncomfortably over his bucket, Eli knew that the right decision was to stay and try and lend a hand. “Here,” he said softly, pulling a chair from the closest desk over to the other male. “Sit here, it’ll be better support that slouching over there. Plus I don’t want your legs going out on me.” He was pretty certain by now, that whatever had happened the the other was the slug-vomiting curse and was only going to get worse in the next few minutes. Putting out his arm to offer support, he tried to guide the other to the chair with a sympathetic look.
